We wish to acknowledge that we gratefully create on the stolen territories of the Coast Salish Peoples, including the unceded territories of the xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), Stó:lō and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations, as well as the traditional territories of the (lək̓ʷəŋən) Lekwungen speaking Peoples, known as the Songhees and Esquimalt Nations, and the W̱SÁNEĆ peoples. We are committed to working to decolonize through the platform of our business, and acknowledging the history of this land is one small part.

We also wish to acknowledge that dance is a part of culture, and that Heels dance is informed by many cultures. These include but are not limited to: cultures from the African Diaspora, Latin cultures, East Asian cultures, queer culture, kink culture, and the sex work profession. As participants in and appreciators of these cultures, we’re committed to using our platform and privilege to dismantle the systems that seek to oppress them.
